Bold 9780 gets facetime in T-Mobile commercial (and by facetime, we don’t mean that iPhone business)

We saw an influx of Torch ads when it was released, however the 9780 has endured a much more media quiet release.  This device is not only featured in a new T-Mobile commercial, but featured in white by a bunch of ballerina’s!  Lord of the Dance, Taylor Martin, approves.  Check out the video below, and make sure to leave us a comment below if you have gotten a chance to use this new Bold!

BGR goes hands on with BlackBerry Playbook

As if we weren’t already slobbering with excitement over this lovely device, this video has definitely heightened the expectations that many of us share.  Check out the video below for more.  Under said video there will be a little overview of the various features, just in case you’re at your work computer slacking off with us!

One of the coolest features of the Playbook is definitely all the swipe gestures that are integrated into the system.  This could potentially create an extremely user friendly environment for both techies (like myself) as well as the technologically impaired.  The screen of the Playbook is drop dead gorgeous, even by the standards of being viewed through the lens of a camera.  The interface was snappy and I noticed very little lag.  Several misplaced touches occurred, but that was purely operator error and was in no way the Playbooks fault.

After seeing the video above, please let us know if this device lives up to your expectations!  Also, feel free to include a wishlist of things you’d like to see included in the device before it hits stores.

BlackBerry Playbook spotted in Black Eyed Peas video

More and more news on the BlackBerry PlayBook emerge. It’s no surprise to see some PlayBook shots in the latest Black Eyes Peas videos, since Will.I.Am is a hardcore BlackBerry user and so it seems he’s already got a PlayBook. The video was posted to his Dipvide website featuring a PlayBook every now and then. Take a look and give us your thoughts in the comments.

And in this corner: BlackBerry PlayBook vs Apple iPad web browser comparison video

Ever wonder who would win if the BlackBerry Playbook and the Apple iPad got into a fight? If you answered yes, enjoy the show. A video comparing the web browsing experience of the two tablets has been posted by RIM on their official BlackBerry youtube channel. The Playbook’s rendering of web pages is overall a much  smoother experience than on the iPad. Speed is definitely a factor as well. Also, having the ability to view Flash content on most web pages is a big plus. I guess the major factor is screen size, but that is a personal preference you’ll have to decide for yourself.. Here is a statement from RIM’s Media Relations Department explaining what you will see in the video.

“The video runs through a series of comparison tests with a PlayBook and iPad which demonstrate three things: the speed of the BlackBerry PlayBook Browser, its support for rich Flash content, and the performance of open web standards like HTML 5 on the BlackBerry PlayBook.”

Longer version of the PlayBook demo video available

The BlackBerry PlayBook is getting me all excited these days, not just because it’s brand new and it will take a while until I can get my hands on one, but also because there’s more and more information showing up. The demo video of the PlayBook at Adobe MAX 2010 posted yesterday was only short clip and today Adobe decided to post a longer version of the clip. So if you enjoyed yesterday’s clip, why not have a look at this one:

Are you getting excited about the PlayBook yet? If you still feel the need to get more information, you can also head over to Adobe MAX online and watch a full replay of the Adobe MAX 2010 keynote.

Hands-On Video Review of the BlackBerry Style 9670

I have been following the BlackBerry Style 9670 ever since it was mentioned several months ago. Contrary to popular opinion, I have always believed that there is a market for a smart flip phone with a full qwerty keyboard. As more about the phone is revealed I stand by my past statements made in prior posts supporting this form factor. I think this is a very smart move by RIM to take advantage of an untapped market, and look for other companies to jump on the bandwagon. But listen, check out this hands on video from Kevin Michaluk at CrackBerry.com and you be the judge.

The BlackBerry Style will come preloaded with OS 6, a 5MP camera, and 512MB of ram. Has your opinion of the BlackBerry Style 9670 changed at all? With a Halloween release one question remains, will this be a Trick or Treat for the clamshell? Give us your opinion below.

BlackBerry PlayBook live demo at Adobe MAX 2010

Since the BlackBerry PlayBook has officially been unveiled, RIM hasn’t given any chance to see the device in action ..until today! Today, at Adobe’s MAX conference, they showed off the PlayBook for everyone to see. RIM is aiming at bringing us the full web experience rather than giving us the typical smartphone-experience we already know from lots of devices. For demonstration a YouTube Video was played on the PlayBook straight from the YouTube page thanks to the PlayBook’s full support of Flash 10.1.

It looked all pretty smooth but I found it to be a little laggy at times. That’s not the real deal though, the PlayBook won’t launch until early 2011, so there’s a good chance we’ll see some improvements. It’s definitely more interesting to me than the Galaxy Tab or the iPad. What about you? Do you consider getting the PlayBook when it comes out? Or will you rather get an iPad or one of the upcoming Android Tablets?
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, we love to read it!

Now go ahead and watch the full clip featuring the PlayBook:

BlackBerry PlayBook comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, powered by 5,300mAh battery

Some more PlayBook news showed up. Most of the specs were already known but now we get to add some details. Just like the iPad, the PlayBook will have 16GB, 32GB and even 64GB variants available. Alongside it will be powered by a huge 5,300mAh battery. Sounds pretty good, actually I’m hoping for long battery life to be one of it’s strengths.

What do you guys think? Still on fire for the PlayBook? Or just starting to want one?

BBM music video: PING Me Baby

ping

Who said BlackBerrys are no good for entertainment? This BlackBerry Messenger Music Video called “Ping Me Baby“, made by Rizonline proves wrong whoever thinks so. I have to admit, it’s kind of fun to watch but after the first minute it keeps repeating itself. It’s really catchy though and I’ve just caught myself singing it.

If you’re not that much interested in the video as such, how about a new Bold? It seems there’s a contest alongside the video, to be found here. You can also download the MP3, if you feel like doing so.

What do you think about the video and the song? Looking forward to read your comments.
