Possible Pearl 9100 release date on Fido

Great news everyone, it looks like we have our first BlackBerry Pearl 9100 release date (bonus points if you get the reference)! MobileSyrup has received an internal Fido (a Canadian carrier and subsidiary of Rogers Wireless) memo that lists targeted release dates for several upcoming devices. The one we care about is listed “9100BLKF” from RIM, with a release date of May 4th, 2010. This is great news for any Pearl hunters in the audience, as we typically start to see these devices trickle out to the rest of the world in pretty short order. If Canada is landing the Pearl 9100 at the beginning of May, it’s not a stretch to expect the US to start seeing the device in the May-June time frame (bear in mind, this is an educated guess based on previous device history, and could be entirely wrong).

Anyone itching to get their hands on the updated Pearl?
