my phone is like totally messed up , i need major help ! i installed this and os 6 is on there but everything is black and white , and im like so scared right now .
Take out battery. plug into computer. Run desktop manager and ask it to reload operating system, etc. It should reload back to whatever is the highest number of 5.0. If that fails, call tmobile and they will connect you with blackberry expert who can get you back to your old state. When you upgrade to the new OS leak you need to follow the instructions listed for example in the crackberry.com forum – it tells you to delete two tmobile “theme” files first, if you are on tmobile and also the vendor file AND THEN, IMPORTANTLY, USE APPLOADER AND NOT DESKTOP MANAGER TO DO THE UPLOAD. Again, don’t worry. If you can’t fix just call them and tell them you screwed up. they will walk you through a repair. I screwed up a blackberry once and could not get it to boot with anything I did. they had me take the battery out and do what I said above and it worked. They were very patient. Just tell them you tried to do this and messed up the phone. No worry.
Yeaa.. I up loaded it and all white with black screen and small icons… It prettt much didn’t work
I had to up load my old software not cool! Brought my hopes up! But it crashed them down when I saw it done
i fixed , by deleting the tmobile themes and everthing worked fine once i did a reboot , thank you very much though .
if you need help just holla i will help you, btw check out my youtube page ps360wiitv ty
per “Alessandro M” when the 1st leak came out, if you’re on TMO, then delete the themes in java as described above, then enjoy. i just loaded it up a bit ago and now i’m playin’ around with it. me likes very much!
Got me to black and white every where
i have it working fine i like it a lot have not put my phone down yet…
Hey guys thanks for helping each other out. And thanks for commenting on the post.
This was advice I received when I upgraded to “.344″ I never tried it because by that time, I read that it wasn’t very stable so when this new release was leaked, I followed the instructions below for removing the TMO files but didn’t follow the rest and the device is working properly. I only have a couple of apps – Garmin & Twitter – so I took a chance and all is well. Hope these instructions will help those with the white screen/mini icon display.

If you get a white screen with mini icons these two files need to be deleted form the Java directory before you install, or need to be deleted using javaloader after it is installed (although that may be harder).

On my Windows 7 64-bit machine they are located under C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v6.0.0.344_P6.6.0.50\Java
Remember you have to delete the vendor.xml file: C:\program files(86)\common files\research in motion\apploader\
When inside this directory, either delete or rename the vendor.xml file to something else. I recommend that you delete it. If it is not there, don’t panic, then run loader.exe.
Follow the on screen instructions, but when going through, take a look at the different check marks to see what you want installed and what you don’t want installed. My recommendation would be to uncheck all applications that you downloaded such as Facebook, Twitter, Windows Live Messenger, Copter etc. We will manually redownload these after OS 6 has been installed.
When you get to the screen that asks you if you want to make a backup of your device and restore 3rd party applications, change the option to Do Not Restore. It should already be selected to do so, so make sure you change it.
Thats great news, but can the OS 6 be used on the 9650 Bold for sprint? LOL If so please let me know, I thought only blackberrys runing RAM 512 or higher could get the update….
wheres the file? it has been removed from the link -____-
hey guys. The links above do not work. But here is a MEGAUPLOAD link for you bold 9700 people. I just downloaded it and installed it. Works great!

enjoy!
P.S.: I am on AT&T so im not sure how it will affect yall on TMO.
I have the 9700 for Tmobile and OS 6 works great!!!!!!! My phone runs faster and smoother than every before. Powers on in 3 seconds flat!!!! The one thing that you have to do after you install OS 6 is to do a master reset, then you are ready to roll with OS 6.
