Google Mobile app gets updated to version 3.7.15

I must first say that this article is of interest to me, mainly because I use Google Mobile applications on my BlackBerry every single day.  The ‘enhanced gmail plugin’ is the bane of my existence and bing is just plain annoying (to me).  This being said, I have decided to use the Gmail application as well as the Google Mobile application.  Search by voice is one of my favorite things about the application itself, as it is extremely accurate and easy to use.  I have recently upgraded to 3.7.15 from 3.7.12 and my findings are as follows:

  • Application opens more quickly and lags less
  • Application uses less battery
  • When switching between Google apps there is less lag
  • Bug fix for ‘update available’ when most recent version is installed

As noted, there may or may not also be other bug fixes, although these are the only ones that I encountered.  Please give us some feedback on any changes you notice, as well as any bugs that you would like fixed.  Also, I’d like to know if any of you actually like using the built-in push Gmail on BlackBerry.  I personally think it is the most annoying part of BlackBerry, what say you?

  2. I’m very fond of the new google mobile app, but as far as gmail, I think its better to have your email intergrated with blackberry because at least with my phone (9700) it recieves the emails before the gmail app does.
