According to some inside information over at the Boy Genius Report it looks like the Tour could be leaving the shelves of Best Buy. Once they sell out they won’t be getting anymore in stock. Maybe Best Buy has some inside information from RIM.
Although he doesn’t get carrier specific, could this be true? Does this tell us that the new Tour2 (Essex) will be hitting the shelves in its place? I am currently using my Tour and I am anxiously waiting for the Essex to be released. What do all the Tour users out there think about this?

Not surprised, my 9630 has been giving me nothing but trouble. I woke up one morning to take my BB off its charger only to find a JVM error 102. I have since been back to Sprint 5 times to have them take off and load new software. First, I would think they would just replace it under the manufactures warranty after my 2nd or 3rd time in but NO. On my fourth journey in the Sprint rep told me that none of my past visits were logged in and they had no proof that I had been there already 3 times. The rep then said if it wasnt fixed this time that they would replace it. I pick up the 9630 later that day and tried to talk with the rep. She just handed me the phone back and ignored me when I tried to ask her if they fixed it. Sure enough I power it down and back up again with another JVM error code. I call the rep back over to me and she asks “what did you do to it”. Great customer service SPRINT. Good thing this is under a family plan, my other carrier is T-Mobile for which I work for as well. Anyways, since we dont carry the tour at tmobile, i have no idea if anyone else is experiencing this with their Tour. They just made me the blackberry rep for my store so Im getting a bold 9700.
I too have a blackberry tour through sprint, and have been experiencing nothing but problems with it. I returned a palm pre after having it for 5 days, thinking the tour would be an upgrade, and in the time i’ve had it, it’s overheated so badly that the inside of the back cover is starting to melt (not kidding) I get error codes all the time, and random applications (like my camera, which I use frequently) stop working for a month at a time then randomly decide they will work. My sprint has amazing customer service, and they have frequently traded out phones for, never have I had to have a phone “repaired” there, around here the at&t customer service is the worst, which is why we switched to sprint. My phone also constantly freezes, and the trackball has to be set to the 100 sensitivity for the vertical, or it won’t scroll down, and even when it does decide to do so it goes to fast to select anything. This is my second tour I’ve been on, and one of my friends has the exact same problems with his, maybe it’s just the sprint version? Verizon recalled theres at one point, so I don’t know.
