Poynt 1.5.2.25 has been released to beta testers, and offers numerous improvements, including background weather information (shown above) and gas prices.  When activated, the program offers an animated picture of what the weather is doing in your neck of the woods.  Not to be forgotten, the latest build also allows users to check gas prices in the area (though it’s only available in the US at this time).

It appears that the beta is closed, though you can submit an e-mail to beta@mypoynt.com to be considered for the program.
