This morning, North American BlackBerry BIS users woke up to e-mail troubles. In a statement, RIM acknowledged the outage:
“Some BlackBerry customers in North America may be currently experiencing delays receiving e-mail. Our technical teams are working to resolve this issue. for those impacted. Phone services, browsing, and PIN-to-PIN messaging are not impacted. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
As of 4:00 EST, RIM claims that the issue had been resolved, however e-mail is still delayed for me (and the others that I’ve spoken to). How’s your e-mail? Sound off in the comments section!

I’m still not receiving mine…I’ll keep you posted, sir.
Still dripping in for me. It appears that the cache is being pushed as I am getting mail sent over night mixed with newer mail. Real-time push does not yet seem to be working.
I’m getting mine now, but they’re coming in in “chunks.”
Back to real-time push ~7:15p EST
Im having problems with my phone all togther.. i cant call people, people cant call me and im getting txt’s late. if it means anything i have a BB bold 9700
That sounds more like a provisioning error.
RIM admitted that it was a result of clearing out a backlog of messages. Provisioning shouldn’t be that slow (with the exception of rare cases).
